For this adventure we have the finest guitarist Dave Mitchell; expressive piano Bernat Font and forceful bass Queralt Camps. Triple Treat is now presenting his first album “With just my dreams but not alone” (Temps Record 2017).
Bernat Font (Barcelona, 1989) is a renowned pianist of the new generation of musicians in Catalonia. Coming from blues, he arrived to jazz through ragtime and stride piano, and he maintains a strong link with tradition. His first trio album won the award “Best proposed new jazz” Enderrock Awards 2012. In his artistic personality, several critics have highlighted the ability to inject a new reading in the old styles of jazz renewing them; the combination of lyricism, acceleration and precision; and his talent as a composer.
Queralt Camps (Barcelona, 1980) comes to bass in 1996. It is located in the traditional jazz and swing, with clear influences from Ray Brown, Jimmy Blanton and Christian Mcbride.
She has recorded 10 CDs with different bands, and performed at jazz cycles and national and international jazz festivals since 1999.
She had the opportunity to accompany Gene Connors, Charmin Michelle and Carrie Smith, Txavolo Smith, Sebastian Ginaux has collaborated with musicians and groups such as Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, Ignasi Terraza Trio, Jay Wallis, Juli Aymí Piero Cozzi, Andre Kitaev, Toni Sola ,, Ricard Gili, Gemma Abrié, among others; and is currently the bassist on the next bands: Triple Treat, Shakin All, Bumpy Roof Band, Barcelona Swing Serenaders, Albert Bello trio, Atomic Swing Five,
David Mitchell (Kansas city,1958) is a jazz guitarist resident in Barcelona.he’s playing has influencesfrom the great guitarists in the jazz tradition, such as Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, Tal Farlow. He built a style with a strong connection to the blues and bebop language.
Appears in 15 CDs under his own name and several accompanying instrumentalists and singers.
He had the opportunity to play with musicians like Frank Wess, Slide Hampton, Peter Bernstein, Scott Hamilton, Dena DeRose, Terell Stafford, Lou Donaldson, Lonnie Smith, Bobby Shew and Jack McDuff.
He has performed at jazz festivals and clubs worldwide and makes career as a professional musician since 1976
