The Dutch Swing College Band, the Netherlands' leading and best-known jazz orchestra, still guarantees professional performances of traditional jazz music at a world level. The swinging orchestra, founded on May 5, 1945, with its exemplary function, is widely regarded as the calling card of Dutch Jazz. Last year the Dutch Swing College Band went on a world tour for the umpteenth time; via England, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland it went back to the Netherlands to give a number of concerts in Thailand.
