Most of this CD features Sarah Vaughan on radio broadcasts from Birdland during March and April 1953. She is top form on the varied material, her trio is quite supportive and Dizzy Gillespie sits in on a few numbers, backing Sassy with respect. Overall this release is quite valuable for it features Vaughan in her early prime; her voice is quite beautiful throughout.
