Исполнитель: James MoodyНазвание альбома: James Moody And the Hip Organ Trio Год выпуска: 1972 Формат файлов: Mp3, 320 Размер архива: 126 Mb Скачать с: ifolder, depositfiles Nice tight back-to-basics session by Moody that has him playing with an organ combo. Mickey Tucker's on the keys, Roland Wilson plays bass, and Eddie Gladden handles the drum chores. Moody's on tenor all the way, with no flute at all, and the tracks include "Freedom Jazz Dance", "Never Again", "A Little 3 For LC", and "St. Thomas". Dusty Groove
The "Never Again" title refers to James Moody's pledge to stick to tenor and not play alto anymore. He did not reach that goal 100% in the future but did successfully shift his emphasis to tenor which he plays exclusively on this superior Muse Lp. Joined by organist Mickey Tucker, electric bassist Roland Wilson and drummer Eddie Gladden, Moody is heard in top form, swinging quite hard. Highlights include "Secret Love," "St. Thomas" and an adventurous version of "Freedom Jazz Dance." Highly recommended. Scott Yanow, AMG
