This is a musical portrait of one of the most influential British musicians of his generation. Most notably, George Scott Wood founded one of the hottest small British jazz groups of the '30s, The Six Swingers, featuring jazz greats Freddy Gardner and Ted Heath. Their specialty was "Hot Pie," medleys of jazzy numbers served up hot, and ten helpings are here. Features solo piano pieces by Scott Wood, plus tracks accompanying Esther Coleman, as well a songs with his Orchestra, as well as the Masqueraders, and the International Novelty Orchestra. Also includes Scott Wood playing the piano accordion solo and with the Bohemians and the London Piano Accordion Band. Features Al Bowlly, Sam Browne, Cavan O'Connor, Sam Costs and others.
