Исполнитель: Freddie McCoyНазвание альбома: Funk Drops Год выпуска: 1966 Формат файлов: Mp3 320kbps cbr Размер архива: 80Mb rar Скачать с: Rusfolder Tight soul jazz session from vibist McCoy, covering jazz, R&B, blues and the obigitory pop hits of the day, in this case Lennon/McCartney's ''I Love Her'' which evokes Horace Silver's ''Song For My Father'' in the opening vamp (''Song'' later inspired the opening riff of Steely Dan's ''Rikki Don't Lose That Number''). Also of interest, this is one of the few Prestige dates where the sidemen are basically unfamiliar to me, except for Bernard Purdie, the prolifically recorded drummer who led his own Prestige date, ''Purdie Good''. All in all enjoyable - although I do prefer the quartet tracks. ©
