The third album Freddie Hubbard cut for the CTI actually sounds more like the stuff he later did for Columbia than the rest of his CTI albums. The title song First Light is a beautiful atmospheric soundscape and his rendition of the Wings' Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey gives the song a whole different meaning.
