Specious present is a philosophical term which invites us to reflect on our perceptions of the now. It implies that we live in an illusory present; what we believe to be the present is in reality a very recent past. It is in this marginal space that our conscience situates when we improvise, making decisions in real time while perceiving the most recent past. The music of this album is essentially constructed in those moments. I wrote pieces with a wide space for interpretation, with the intention of discovering them during the recording session. The result is 9 brief compositions; different premises from which mainly improvised music is built, music that reflects our relationship with and perception of the present.
